Blackened Flank Steak

(from eMeals Clean Eating plan)

2 lb flank steak, cut in two pieces
2 t. blackened seasoning
1 t. sea salt, divided
1 t. pepper, divided
6 c. mixed greens
1 c. cherry tomatoes, halved
1 T. olive oil
2 t. balsamic vinegar

Preheat broiler. Season steak with blackened seasoning, 1/2 t. salt, and 1/2 t. pepper. Place steak on rimmed baking sheet or broiler pan rubbed with olive oil. Broil 4 minutes per side for medium rare or to desired degree of doneness (I did 6 min. per side and would probably like it a little more done). Let rest 5 mins. before slicing on the diagonal. Toss mixed greens and tomatoes with oil, vinegar, 1/2 t. salt and 1/2 t. pepper. Serve steak on mixed greens.

We had this with the Zucchini and Bean Salad with Bulgur, and I thought it tasted like a fancy schmancy restaurant meal, but it was fairly simple.
